General Tire has introduced the AltiMAX 365 AW, an all-weather tire with Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake certification for passenger cars and crossovers.
The AltiMAX 365 AW completes the all-weather portfolio for General Tire, covering passenger cars and crossovers, while the Grabber APT and Grabber A/T X cover sport utility vehicles and light trucks.
“The development of the AltiMAX 365 AW focused on enhancing winter performance without compromising wet, dry and wear capabilities of an all-season tire,” said General Tire.
“While winter tires are still recommended for harsh winter conditions, the AltiMAX 365 AW is a great option for consumers looking for year-round safety and convenience, in relatively milder winter regions of the country.
“We have been listening to the needs of our Canadian customers, and today, we are proud to provide the market with a dependable product that is ready to perform in all-weather conditions, 365 days a year,” said Okan Sen, General Tire Canada’s Director of Marketing.
The Sinusoidal Siping System of the AltiMAX 365 AW features a high density of lateral snow edges on the tread blocks, which improves snow braking and handling. Meanwhile, the interlocking of siped blocks enhances dry performance. The tire also features the all-new Traction Teeth technology. These teeth bite into snow and slush, creating additional traction in deep snow and slush conditions.
The AltiMAX 365 AW is available in 52 replacement sizes ranging from 15 to 20-inch diameters. The tire comes with a 105,000 km limited treadwear warranty for H-rated sizes and a 95,000 km limited warranty for V-rated sizes, and a Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake certification.
