The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has confirmed the appointment of Jerome Rouquet as Chief Financial Officer, effective December 1, 2026.
Goodyear’s executive appointment signals tightened fiscal discipline that could directly reshape commercial credit conditions, wholesale pricing tiers, and regional inventory supply for Canadian tyre distributors.
The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has confirmed the appointment of Jerome Rouquet as Chief Financial Officer, effective December 1, 2026. Reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer Mark Stewart, Rouquet joins the senior leadership team following an extensive tenure as CFO of Visteon Corporation, alongside prior executive financial roles at Tenneco and Federal-Mogul.
For Canadian commercial tyre distributors, independent retailers, and fleet maintenance directors, leadership shifts within tier-one manufacturers often precede structural adjustments to dealer supply agreements and rebate programmes. Rouquet’s background in aggressive balance-sheet restructuring and capital allocation indicates a renewed corporate focus on trimming operational overhead and prioritising profitable manufacturing output over low-margin volume.
Scott Deakin, who has served as interim CFO, will assist with the executive handover through the December transition date. Canadian automotive aftermarket stakeholders will be monitoring whether this leadership change drives revised wholesale replenishment schedules or tighter payment terms across regional dealer distribution networks.
