Autosphere was among Pirelli’s privileged guests at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Montreal, enjoying exclusive access to everything this event represents for the Italian manufacturer.
Some 70 Pirelli distributors and partners, accompanied by several representatives from the Italian company, were invited to take part in a series of activities as part of the festivities, most notably to enjoy the action from the luxurious Pirelli suite in the Paddock Club.
There, they witnessed the practice sessions, qualifying rounds, and the main race on Sunday, June 15, all under remarkably pleasant weather conditions.
As part of this VIP invitation, Autosphere had the opportunity to go behind the scenes of the race, including a visit to the tire preparation area. A dedicated article will soon cover this segment, featuring an interview with Mario Isola, Head of Pirelli’s Formula 1 team, who will explain to our readers the crucial role Pirelli tires play in the race and the massive efforts made to provide teams with tires that match the performance of their cars.
We also had the chance to sit down for an extended and insightful interview with Ernest Bedia, President of Pirelli Canada. He was generous with both his time and the information he shared with our readers, touching on several topics including the state of the Canadian market. A separate article will summarize this conversation in the coming days.
Throughout this exceptional weekend, spontaneous encounters were plentiful—from David Coulthard to Christian Horner, and even Jacques Villeneuve. The Pirelli suite at the Paddock Club also served as a unique networking hub where many distributors shared great moments and great meals, while discussing business.
