The Point S Conference held in Vancouver from September 19 to 22 was an opportunity for the 315 participants to reconnect and celebrate the successes of the network while discussing the future.
For Jean Novak, this was the first official meeting with the network’s merchants and their partners as President and CEO of Point S Canada and Stox Distribution. Successor to Bruno Leclair, Mr. Novak takes the helm of a network of around 900 tire and mechanical centers under the Point S, Point S City, V1 and Otobox banners in seven Canadian provinces.
“This reunion in one of Canada’s most beautiful cities was an opportunity to look at our progress and to highlight our development strategies,” explained the President. “Well established in Quebec, Point S is a great proposition for the rest of Canada. Many regions, with a large number of dynamic local entrepreneurs, could benefit from the strength of the largest network of independent tire and service centers in the country.”
Presentations
During the conference, Point S management team shared their initiatives in marketing, procurement, business development and training. Vendors also came to talk about their new products and discuss market trends such as the electrification of transportation, the growth in tire sizes, and the fact that consumers are keeping their vehicles longer.
Building business relationships and friendships
This convention, which was a celebration of the successes of Point S, its merchants and partners, was also an opportunity to discover one of the most beautiful regions of Canada from many angles. In this respect, participants were spoiled.
Excursions throughout the region, the possibility of going whale watching or even trying to catch a salmon, or guided tours through the various neighborhoods of this beautiful city were offered. And the weather was perfect, what more to ask?
The activities were complemented by dinners at gourmet restaurants before the event culminated in a Gala evening on September 21.
