Vast-Auto Distribution held its well-attended customer conference on February 22 and 23 at the Fairmont Le Reine Elizabeth in Montreal.
This was the first conference since O’Reilly acquired Vast-Auto earlier this year and offered rich content to parts stores and service centers from Quebec, Ontario and the Maritimes through detailed presentation materials that provided in-depth insights and valuable information.
Over 650 participants from Vast-Auto Distribution’s network of parts stores, service centers and vendor partners attended the event. The new Parts City Auto Parts banner program for stores and the Certified Auto Repair program for service centers were officially launched and sparked significant enthusiasm among customers. Attendees also participated in numerous other seminars concerning M 360 Mechanic, Auto Mecano, and OCTO Auto Service Plus.
Improved programs
Service centers in attendance were the first to learn about O’Reilly’s industry-leading programs including Certified Auto Repair and their strong commitment to service, parts availability and coverage that would enhance their ability to better serve consumers who trust them with their vehicles.
The entire team conveyed a clear message confirming their commitment to stand alongside and support service centers and parts stores throughout the transition.
Specialized sessions were also provided to participants covering several topics of interest, such as various insurance programs and the important issue of cybersecurity.
Finally, more than 80 exhibitors showcased their products during Friday evening’s Expo event. It was a great opportunity for participants to discover the latest advances in equipment, products and services and to learn more about Vast-Auto Academy’s comprehensive training programs, notably the innovative Electric Verified recognition program.
An appreciated presence
Through out the conference, participants had the opportunity to hear from and interact with O’Reilly team members including CEO Brad Beckham. A panel discussion between participants and O’Reilly team members was highly appreciated. It provided an opportunity to address many questions regarding product, programs, and the transition.
O’Reilly is counting on Vast-Auto Distribution’s expertise to develop its entire Canadian segment and also confirmed the head office for the Canadian operations will remain in Montreal.
“Vast-Auto Distribution’s experienced management team, led by Mauro Cifelli, will continue to operate the business,” said Beckham. “Together with O’Reilly’s experienced leaders, we’ll continue to grow the successful organization they have built and look forward to working together to build on Vast-Auto’s strong automotive aftermarket experience in Canada, as our two amazing teams come together as one.”
Vast-Auto is just as enthusiastic about the future. “This is a significant milestone and a fantastic opportunity for Vast-Auto, which will serve as a catalyst to accelerate expansion throughout Canada,” said Vast-Auto President and CEO, Mauro Cifelli. “Our company has always had
a strong culture and work ethic, and prided itself on exceptional customer service, and these values align perfectly with O’Reilly’s culture. We recognize the unique contributions that each company is bringing to the table and are excited to be part of the O’Reilly family.”
An evening of recognition
On Saturday evening participants gathered for the Awards Banquet where parts stores, service centers and vendors were recognized for their outstanding performance and commitment to excellence. You’ll find the winners in the photo gallery above.
