Yokohama Tire Canada is expanding its lineup of commercial tires with the introduction of the 720R, specifically engineered for last-mile delivery operations.

The 19.5-inch, N-rated 720R is offered in 225/70R/19.5 size, purposefully built for pickup trucks.

“This new 720R is designed specifically for that door-to door final-mile delivery by fast-paced businesses,” said Diana Colosimo, Brand Development Manager for Yokohama Tire Canada. “In this new business environment, where customers expect goods to come to them, the 720R provides superb year-round traction and outstanding manoeuvrability in fast-turnaround urban environments, and a long tread-life.”

The 720R benefits from:

  • An all-new casing design and N-speed-rating, which allows it to withstand sustained speeds up to 140 km/h.
  • Exceptional traction from wide lateral grooves running diagonally across the centre rib, to improve wet and snow traction. Deep open shoulder lug grooves provide high traction and prevent irregular wear, while serpentine grooves efficiently dispel water, for confident wet traction throughout the original tire life.
  • A 18/32-inch-deep original tread depth that provides aggressive traction and longer wear without sacrificing fuel efficiency.
  • Sidewall protection that reduces damage caused by curbing and scrubbing in typical urban operations, and funnel-shaped grooves that prevent stones and debris from reaching the bottom of the groove where casing damage can occur.
