While attending AAPEX in 2024, the Autosphere team had an opportunity to stop by the PHINIA display at booth A5027 on the second level of the Venetian Expo. Within the PHINIA umbrella are the storied Delphi, Delco Remy and Hartridge brands. New at AAPEX was a range of enhanced Delphi steering and suspension components—over 140 new part numbers aimed at high mileage and delivery vehicle applications. New knock and oxygen sensors were also on display at AAPEX.
The Delphi Training Academy has also been a big focus for PHINIA. Essentially this is a comprehensive training portfolio that includes both instructor-led and self-paced online training programs. “We want to give technicians and industry professionals the ability to learn the way they want to,” explained Sarah Martin, Communications Content Specialist, PHINIA. “Since not everyone has the ability to travel. Beginning in November 2024, PHINIA launched virtual training online with the Delphi Academy website providing a list of new and upcoming training courses.”
Russ Stebbins, General Manager, North American Aftermarket Business, noted that PHINIA continues to be very excited about the automotive aftermarket sector. “We see it is as a steadily growing industry,” said Stebbins. “Profit margins are healthy, growth is stable and we continue to invest in this area of our business.” He noted that by 2030 PHINIA expects the aftermarket to account for 40% of its overall business, which includes both traditional internal combustion engine vehicles and EVs.
