Seal manufacturer Fel-Pro took advantage of the virtual trade fair AAPEX2020 to launch new products.
Among these products that are added to the Fel-Pro catalogue is a set of seals specifically designed to protect the lubrication of drive chain tensioners.
This is a solution that allows the workshop to reinstall and seal the original parts. These replacement parts, designed by Fel-Pro’s engineering department, respond to an increasingly frequent repair situation.
The assembly, which bears the part number ES73226 in the Fel-Pro catalogue, is suitable for the 4.6 and 5.4 litres Ford V8 engines and the 6.8 litre V10. The parts fit engines built from 2001 to 2014. The kit includes two seals and two clamps that facilitate the re-installation of the tensioners.
PermaTorque MLS Seals
Another interesting product presented in the novelty showcase at AAPEX 2020 is the new generation cylinder head gasket PermaTorque MLS. Its special coating enables it to withstand higher temperatures in the engine.
A precise layer of coating is applied to compensate for surface roughness. In this case, the gasket can be used on Ford’s popular 3.6-liter EcoBoost V6 engine. It is found in a wide range of cars, light trucks and delivery vans.
