After an absence of more than two decades, the CCAM Golf Tournament made a stunning return on June 17, attracting 260 golfers and raising $232,800 for its Foundation.

The entire event took place under tropical weather at the chic Summerlea Golf Course in Vaudreuil-Dorion.

Several suppliers had set up refreshment stations along the course.

For Gilles Pilon, President of the Corporation des Concessionnaires d’Automobiles de Montréal (CCAM) and Volkswagen dealer in Vaudreuil, the resumption of a clearly appreciated activity yielded results that exceeded his expectations.

“Two-thirds of the 260 golfers were executives and employees from our dealerships. It’s a remarkable participation when you consider how busy dealers are,” he noted.

The golf tournament was followed by a cocktail reception and a gourmet dinner. To raise funds for the CCAM Foundation, an auction was organized. The participants were very generous.

“I would like to acknowledge the generosity of our dealers, but also that of our many sponsors who absorbed several of the costs associated with the day, which allowed us to raise over $230,000 for our Foundation,” concluded Mr. Pilon.
