A study by Cash for Clunkers in the United States shows the level of consumer interest in electric vehicles in 2023.

This company, which buys second-hand vehicles, has carried out a global analysis of research into the various electric vehicle models on the world market to determine which models attract the most interest.

The study takes into account monthly search volumes and growth in interest.

The Tesla Model 3 is leading the parade, with a 50% increase in the number of searches over the last three months. Interest in this model has grown fastest in Denmark.

The Audi e-tron GT followed with an increase of 2 million visits over the same period.

The Porsche Taycan, the manufacturer’s first electric sports model, came third. It is in Norway, another country seriously committed to the electrification of transport, that we find the most curiosity about this model.

It is also in this Scandinavian country that the BMW iX attracts the most attention, placing it fourth in the ranking.

Consumers around the world interested in buying their first EV turned to Hyundai’s website to find out more about the Ioniq 5.

The Polestar 2 is in seventh place, and searches for it have risen by 24% in recent months.

The relatively affordable cost of the Volkswagen ID4 would explain its eighth position in the ranking.

In Canada, there has been a record surge of interest in the Chevrolet Bolt EV. Probably spurred on by the manufacturer’s commitment to making this model more accessible to a broad customer base.

Finally, the tenth and last position in this ranking is occupied by the Mustang Mach-E. It was the brand’s loyal performance fans who would have sustained the number of visits.

Overall, Norwegians show the most interest in the new electric models presented by manufacturers.
