According to a visitor survey, the Quebec City Auto Show has a great impact on the purchasing process of its visitors.
A survey was conducted in mid-March among 1,800 respondents following the 2023 Quebec City International Auto Show.
The results are categorical: the event is at the heart of its visitors’ vehicle purchase process.
After an absence of two years, the return of the Quebec City International Auto Show was a great success.
Thus, the survey indicates that the satisfaction rate of its visitors reaches 94%.
“The results of our survey prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the Quebec City Auto Show still has its raison d’être,” says Charles Drouin, General Manager. “It is a key factor in our visitors’ buying process. In fact, 65% of them indicate that the Auto Show has an impact on their purchasing decision and 91% say that it allows them to compare and shop for models,” he continues.
Notable absences
The 2023 edition of the Quebec City International Auto Show was held under a new hybrid manufacturer/dealer formula.
However, some brands chose not to be present. This decision is viewed negatively by visitors, 44% of whom said that their absence had a negative impact on their perception of these brands and 58% of whom said that their absence had or potentially had a negative impact on their decision to buy a vehicle from these brands.
“These results corroborate our assumptions about the importance of car shows,” says Drouin. “Even though the automotive industry is currently undergoing a revolution, the Quebec City Auto Show continues to be the benchmark for consumers to shop for their vehicles.”
The 41st edition of the Quebec City International Auto Show will take place from March 5 to 10, 2024 at the Centre de Foires d’Expocité.
