For the 14th consecutive year, Groupe Park Avenue participated in the annual Centraide campaign held last December.
All of the Group’s 16 automobile dealerships mobilized to raise a substantial amount of $138,564. In addition, thanks to the major gifts made by 15 new Group leaders, Centraide and its special Leadership Challenge program, sponsored in large part by the Hewitt Fund, added an additional $24,850 in donations. In total, $163,414 will be donated to support over 350 organizations that help vulnerable people.
Norman John Hébert, President and Chief Operating Officer of Groupe Park Avenue, underlines the involvement of the organization’s employees who, once again this year, have shown great generosity towards Centraide: “I am extremely proud of our employees’ commitment to our community, and also of the actions taken by our leaders to raise additional funds that have allowed us to maintain such a high level of contribution again this year. It is a testament to the strength of our organization when we all pull together to achieve a common goal. We are happy to make a difference and contribute to the success of organizations that support our society in different ways.” This amount brings the total value of Groupe Park Avenue’s donations to Centraide over the years to more than $1.6 million.
This contribution was very well received by Centraide, which counts on Quebec companies like Groupe Park Avenue to achieve its mission. Claude Pinard, President and CEO of Centraide of Greater Montreal, is grateful for the essential support provided by Groupe Park Avenue: “We thank management and employees for their gestures of mutual aid and solidarity. Their commitment to Centraide will have a positive impact on the daily lives of thousands of individuals and families. This is a difficult year for too many of our fellow citizens in vulnerable situations. The donations made will support the agencies in our network that play a major role in our community by enabling people to better feed themselves, find housing and break their isolation.”
