Ferrari Leverages Schumacher Legacy for Monza Grand Prix

Autosphere » Dealerships » Ferrari Leverages Schumacher Legacy for Monza Grand Prix

Commemorating 30 years since the German driver joined Maranello, Scuderia Ferrari executes a heritage-driven brand activation at the Italian Grand Prix.

Scuderia Ferrari will field a special livery inspired by the 1996 F310 race car on the vehicles driven by Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc at the Italian Grand Prix. The campaign marks the 30th anniversary of Michael Schumacher joining the Italian team, where he secured five of his seven World Championships.

For motorsport commercial partners and brand strategists, the activation demonstrates the leverage of legacy assets to drive audience engagement. The single-seaters feature gold-accented wheel rims, Schumacher’s official logo, and a seven-star emblem on the nose cone reflecting his 2004 helmet design.

The marketing initiative includes matching race suits and helmet concepts for both drivers, alongside track demonstration runs at Monza featuring three iconic chassis: the F310 (1996), F2002 (2002), and 248 F1 (2006).
