Bridgestone Americas has officially unveiled its new role as the official, exclusive tire provider for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship starting in Season 13 (2026/27). Engineered to handle the all-new GEN4 car — boasting 815 bhp, active AWD, and 0-62 mph acceleration in 1.8 seconds —, Bridgestone introduced its POTENZA GEN4 dry and wet TYPHOON TIRE lines. Built with 65% recycled and renewable materials (including tire-pyrolysis carbon black and rice husk silica), the tires are manufactured entirely using 100% renewable energy.
For motorsport team principals, performance chassis engineers, and EV technology suppliers, the high-profile platform serves as an active mobile laboratory to accelerate street-tire compound innovations.
According to Bridgestone Global CEO Yasuhiro Morita, the partnership includes title sponsorship of four major race weekends, including the season-ending doubleheaders in Shanghai and Tokyo.
