Sailun’s new Atrezzo 4S was conceived for true, all-weather high performance.
In North America, particular many regions of Canada and northern U.S. states, the concept of an all-weather tire has been gaining traction over the last several years. In essence, the idea is to combine a tire that performs well in wet, dry and snowy conditions, across a wide range of temperature variations.
More functionality
At Sailun Tire Americas (STA), this trend has not gone unnoticed. “The market has always liked the idea of an all-weather tire,” explains Kurt McClure, Senior Sales Analyst at STA’s North American Marketing operations, “but with more functionality.”
He notes that Sailun has responded to those requests by introducing the Atrezzo 4S. The 4S signifies four seasons, and this new entry into the Atrezzo range is 3-Peak-Mountain-Snow-Flake (3PMSF) certified. “The Atrezzo 4S is a true all-weather tire,” says McClure. Not only is it 3PMSF certified, but it was also designed from the outset to be ideal for light wintry conditions, while being a solid performer in warmer and wet weather. “It also delivers incredible performance with speed ratings of H, V, and W,” he says.

3PMSF asymmetrical tread
The key to achieving this balance in capability and performance lies with a 3PMSF asymmetrical tread design. McClure notes this was key to achieving overall performance.
“Modern vehicles, including CUVs and SUVs, demand a combination of performance and comfort,” he says. “With this in mind, we focused on delivering exceptional wet performance by efficiently evacuating water and slush through the straight circumferential grooves, with particular attention to the inner lateral channels.”
On the Atrezzo 4S, the larger centre lug ensures greater stability, while the outer lug and its angled design provide outstanding handling and cornering capabilities—in essence delivering the best of both worlds.
While McClure acknowledges that all-weather tires aren’t right for everyone and in severe conditions, a true winter tire is still the best option, for certain drivers, a product like the Atrezzo 4S is highly appealing.
Highly-enticing
Not only is it 3PMSF certified, its designed to perform exceptionally well under most conditions and for those that live in more urban settings or experience milder winters, such as in large metro areas like Vancouver, or the Greater Toronto Area it is a highly enticing option. Added benefits include a high-mileage warranty as well as eliminating the cost and inconvenience of having to store and switch over two sets of tires every year.
McClure notes that providing customers peace of mind is very important at Sailun Tire Americas. “The Atrezzo 4S has an upgraded 100,000 km tread life warranty and comes with a 2-year no-charge road hazard program.
48 sizes
Currently, Sailun offers the Atrezzo 4S in 48 modern sizes,” explains McClure. These range from 15 up through 20-inch diameters including, the most popular 235/65R16C LMD (Last Mile Delivery) size. “The 235/65R16C LMD is designed to fit those delivery trucks we commonly see every day on the roads, dropping off and picking up at residential and business addresses,” says McClure.
The Atrezzo 4S is currently available and proudly offered through Sailun’s network of Canadian dealers, and based on the tire’s engineering, specifications and market positioning, it looks like STA has yet another winner on its hands.
