Compiled in tandem with global data research firm Statista, the comprehensive cross-industry evaluation ranked the tire manufacturer 100th overall among 750 high-performing corporations worldwide.
Highlighting its structural commitment to low-emission manufacturing and corporate governance, Nokian Tyres plc has been named to TIME Magazine’s institutional list of the World’s Most Sustainable Companies 2026.
Compiled in tandem with global data research firm Statista, the comprehensive cross-industry evaluation ranked the tire manufacturer 100th overall among 750 high-performing corporations worldwide.
The standard ranking protocol evaluates independent operational benchmarks, incorporating verified United Nations Global Compact compliance, science-based greenhouse gas reduction targets, and data disclosures tracked via top-tier rating agencies including CDP and MSCI.
“This is a great acknowledgment of our long-term sustainability work and motivates us to keep improving,” stated Paolo Pompei, President and CEO at Nokian Tyres. “We want to enable drivers to make more sustainable tire choices without compromising on performance. Renewable and recycled materials and lower rolling resistance help cut tire lifecycle emissions, while rigorously tested tires improve grip and safety, especially in demanding weather conditions.”
The global ranking serves as a clear technical reference point as commercial fleets and passenger vehicle owners increasingly prioritize rolling-resistance metrics to optimize modern battery-electric vehicle (EV) range.
