Nokian Tyres, the inventor of the winter tire, proudly joins forces with Quebec tire retailers Groupe Desharnais, Groupe Villemaire, Pneus GBM and Robert Bernard for its annual snowsuit donation campaign. This year, with their support, more than 2,550 snowsuits have been distributed to families in need across 29 cities in Quebec.
Launched in 2018, this initiative has delivered more than 12,510 snowsuits to date, underscoring Nokian Tyres’ commitment to safety, both on the roads and in the daily lives of Quebec families.
A harsh winter, a human response
As the inventor of the first winter tire, Nokian Tyres has always prioritized making the world safer. In a province where winter tires are essential, the company aims to play a key role in enhancing family safety, not only with cutting-edge products but also through community-focused initiatives like this donation campaign.
“At Nokian Tyres, we believe that making the world safer starts with protecting families,” explains Tommi Heinonen, Vice President of Sales, Nokian Tyres North America. “This inspires us to support our partners as they engage with their communities, helping families overcome the challenges of winter and enabling children to enjoy its joys.”
Collaboration with Quebec Tire Retailers
This initiative, made possible by Nokian Tyres’ financial backing and the longstanding collaboration with Groupe Desharnais, Groupe Villemaire, Pneus GBM and Robert Bernard, stands as a testament to strong partnerships within the automotive industry. The participating retailers have distributed the snowsuits in their respective communities over the last few weeks, partnering with local organizations such as Carrefour des familles monoparentales de Charlesbourg, Fondation Christian Vachon, Maison les 4 saisons du Témiscamingue, Maison des Familles d’Abitibi-Ouest, Comité d’accueil international des Bois-Franc and many elementary schools.
