Dynamic Tire’s lineup of construction tires can handle the rough stuff.
One of the most demanding environments any OTR (off-the-road) tire can be exposed to is the modern construction site. These tires have to be tough enough to handle the unpredictable environment and uneven terrain of a job site, and to thrive on rough and debris-laden road surfaces.
In addition, these tires must be versatile enough to operate effectively in a variety of road conditions, including hard pavement, soft dirt, unsteady and uneven gravel, and everything in between.
If that weren’t enough, here in Canada, construction tires have to work long hours in all types of weather conditions. From the scorching heat of summer to the frigid cold of winter to the wet and slippery conditions that are common in both the spring and fall, construction tires have to be able to handle it all.
That’s why Dynamic Tire is excited to announce the addition of the Dynamo Grip Bear tire to their existing lineup of construction tires. Available since the early part of 2025, the Grip Bear tire is already making an impact with customers across Canada.
Engineered to thrive in some of the most gruelling conditions, the Grip Bear boasts a tough heavy-duty all-terrain tread design, which makes it especially able to tackle some of the most demanding environments.

Key features
The Dynamo Grip Bear was engineered with a number key features that make it ideal for tough construction site applications. For starters, it boasts a heavy-duty all-terrain tread designed, which has been optimized to deliver maximum traction in a broad range of circumstances. From snow and slush, to wet gravel and slippery mud, the Grip Bear is able to dig in, get a grip, and continue working hard.
“The Grip Bear features an optimized footprint for improved stability, and the tread design allows this construction tire to work in many different conditions, from loose soil, hard pavement and everything in between,” says Gregory Pickering, Segment Manager, Non-DOT Tires, Dynamic Tire.
It’s also particularly resilient to many of the hazards normally found on construction sites, including debris and other waste materials that can easily damage tires and put equipment out of commission. “Thanks to reinforced sidewalls designed to protects the Grip Bear from cuts and abrasion, this capable construction tire can easily tackle some of the most uncertain conditions without suffering damage,” Pickering adds.
Furthermore, the advanced rubber compound, which is resistant to cuts and tears, has been engineered to maximize the usable life of the Grip Bear, while also preventing chunking.
“Because of the tread design, the Grip Bear handles high-torque and skid steer applications very well,” says Pickering. “These demanding applications won’t tear or wreck the tire because it’s very robust and very tough. That’s a huge benefit for those who are working on different types of terrain, since this tire can handle a variety of environments.”
The Grip Bear was also engineered to handle weather extremes, which makes it especially suitable for the Canadian market, since we see everything from ice storms to heat waves, year after year. “It does well in the sweltering heat of summer, the frigid temperatures of a Canadian winter, and it can easily handle any temperature in between,” adds Pickering.

Broad range of applications
While the Dynamo Grip Bear has been engineered to satisfy the demands of construction applications, Pickering says that it’s also suitable for a number of other applications.
“It’s an off-the-road tire, a specialty tire, and it’s designed mostly for construction equipment,” he says, “but it can also be used for some industrial and utility vehicle applications.”
Pickering adds that it performs well in mixed terrain. “It could be used on a job site in an urban area, it could be used in a rural environment, and it would even work in certain agricultural and industrial setting,” he explains. “So it’s got a lot of versatility.”
Patrick Allcock, VP of Product Management at Dynamic Tire explains how the Grip Bear was engineered to deliver the qualities customers want most in a construction tire: quality and price. “It’s a bias ply tire,” he explains, “which means that it’s more economically-priced for the end user. Our goal is to supply a quality tire at a competitive price, because that’s what today’s customers demand.”
With their thorough understanding of the Canadian market, Dynamic Tire was instrumental in the design of the Grip Bear. “We collaborated with the factory in designing the specifications to meet North American performance expectations,” says Pickering. “The result is a tire that delivers premium performance at a competitive price.”
Bias ply vs. radial option
As a bias ply tire, the Grip Bear is ideal for Dynamic Tire’s Quebec customers, explains Allcock, because they usually equip their snow-removal equipment with bias ply tires. “This tire has an aggressive tread design, making it ideal for winter and snow conditions,” he adds. “However, they can leave this tire on their equipment year round, and use that same equipment in the warmer months on construction sites.”
In fact, the ability to keep the Grip Bear on equipment year round is key to this tire’s success in the market. “We heard feedback from the market that radial tires can be too pricey for these types of applications,” Allcock adds, “so we decided to develop this bias ply tire to cater to those needs.”
That said, not all customers want a bias ply tire. For those customers who want premium performance and a competitive price, but in a radial tire format, Dynamic Tire offers the Dynamo Xtreme Grip+.
“It has siping in the tread blocks, which translates into better traction on ice,” says Allcock. “The bias ply Grip Bear does not have that siping, but it has a tread design that’s more suitable for snow applications.”
Despite the added benefit of the sipes, Pickering says that the Dynamo Xtreme Grip+ can also be used year round. “The siping is specifically designed to help with snow and ice,” he explains. “However, the tread design allows this tire to be used in all seasons. A lot of customers don’t want to change tires from snow to summer and back again every season. With the Dynamo Xtreme Grip+ they don’t have to,”
Like the Grip Bear, the Dynamo Xtreme Grip+ was engineered to thrive in weather and temperature extremes, without risk of cutting or chunking. In short, it was designed for the harsh environment extremes we see in Canada.
Both tires are available in a broad range of sizes, and both have been engineered to handle the heavy loads, rugged terrain and abrasive conditions that are par for the course in a variety of tough applications, including construction, excavation, snow removal and beyond. Dynamic Tire’s range of construction tires are designed to deliver premium performance at a non-premium price, and to keep work crews on the job, day after day.
