Each June, the Ontario Tire Dealers Association (OTDA) hosts its annual Golf Classic. This year’s event, which marked the 19th running of this popular tournament took place at the Twenty Valley Golf & Country Club in Vineland, Ontario.

Tremendous support

A total of 144 golfers registered for the event, and in speaking with Adam Moffatt, Executive Director of the OTDA, noted the tremendous amount of support from vendors and suppliers for this year’s tournament.

Even though there was a rain for a brief period in the afternoon, it failed to damper the spirits of those who took to the course and a great time was had by all. Like in past years, there were both silent and live auctions that raised funds for the OTDA. Additionally, at the evening reception for the event, attendees were treated to a special guest speech from Special Olympics Canada athlete and golfer Kevin Pritchard and his father David.

Inspiring story

Kevin was one of just three golfers selected by Special Olympics International to play in the Tiger Woods Foundation Pro-Am Golf Tournament. His inspiring story drew a huge amount of attention and praise, and the OTDA announced that it had garnered $4,000 in support of Special Olympics at the event.
