Nokian Tyres is helping Canadian drivers prepare for summer road trips by offering tire safety advice—and a chance to win a free set of its tires.

Now through May 30, the tiremaker invites consumers to tell them why they deserve a fresh set of tires in time for summer vacation. There are two ways to win:

_Filling out a short entry form at NokianTyres.com/RoadTrips

_Submitting a video application in their Facebook or Instagram story, tagging @NokianTyresNA

In the video story post, drivers should tell Nokian Tyres where they’re headed this summer and why they need new tires to take them there. Nokian Tyres will select a random entry form and video application, and winners of both categories will receive a complimentary set of tires.

NokianTyres.com/RoadTrips also features a road trip tire safety checklist, plus a tire selector tool to help ensure drivers choose the right rubber for their needs.

Check your tire pressure

Drivers should make sure their tires are inflated to the recommended level. Low tire pressure makes blowouts more likely and harms gas mileage and EV range.

Make sure your tread is deep enough

The shallower a tire’s tread, the less responsive it is to the road. That’s especially problematic on wet roads; the risk of hydroplaning increases when tread is too shallow.

Get rotated and aligned

May is a good time to head to the tire shop for a tire rotation and alignment check. Nokian Tyres recommends rotating tires every 4,000 to 8,00 miles. Tires that aren’t regularly rotated are more likely to wear unevenly, which harms handling and efficiency.

Check your spare

Drivers never want to suffer a tire issue on the road, and Nokian Tyres’ Pothole Protection program helps with peace of mind. But it’s still important to make sure their spare tire is properly inflated and has sufficient tread depth, just in case a journey is derailed by a flat tire.

For road trip tire advice, and to enter for a free set of tires, Canadian drivers can visit NokianTyres.com/RoadTrips or submit a video application in their Facebook or Instagram stories by tagging @NokianTyresNA.
