Edmonton, Alta.-based North Country Tire Distributors (NCT) announced its expansion of Western Canadian operations with the opening of a new warehouse facility in Winnipeg, Man., effective, August 1.

According to an official press release from North Country Tire, this 50,000-square-foot facility represents an extension of NCT’s commitment to excellence within its Western Canada operations, from British Columbia to Manitoba.

NCT’s newest distribution centre, strategically located at Unit #3, 200 Discovery Place in Winnipeg, began operations in July, to give customers in Manitoba a chance to evaluate NCT’s services during traditionally slower months of the year, enabling them to gain confidence as the tire industry ramps up to its busy winter selling season during the fall.

“In a supply chain where there are many choices, we know that consistency plays a key role in the customer experience. Because of that, we want to give Winnipeg customers the chance to test us before the busiest time of year. We want to earn their trust and demonstrate that we’ve got their back when it’s the experience of their customer on the line,” said Jared Powell-Williams, Vice President, North Country Tire.

Since opening its doors in Edmonton seven years ago, North Country Tire has grown to become one of Western Canada’s favourite regional suppliers. Now represented in Edmonton and Calgary, Alta., as well as Kelowna, and Langley in B.C.; NCT’s latest Winnipeg location is designed to show the commitment to being a Western Canada-wide provider of leading customer experience.

“Customer experience drives decision-making in our family business, it always has,” remarked Cory Davis, President, NCT. “I personally invite local shops to try us out and experience NCT’s simplified approach firsthand.”
