GSP’s Garage Support Program is designed to enhance customer satisfaction and build long-term business opportunities.

For automotive service professionals, a quality product offering not only includes the physical hardware but the training and support enveloping it.

If service centre staff and technicians have the knowledge, training and expertise regarding the components they’re installing on customers’ vehicles, the more confident they are in recommending these products and the more likely that will resonate with the customer, which in turn will help forge a long-term relationship between the client and the business.

Essential for long-term success
This is something that GSP North America sees as fundamentally essential to long-term success, through initiatives like its Garage Support Program.

This is designed to strengthen GSP’s  partnership with automotive professionals by providing GSP specific branded training and support to help successfully sell the brand. According to Autumn Lamb, Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy at GSP North America, the Garage Support Program does this by enabling service professionals to learn more about the company’s products so that they can support their customers (motorists) with confidence.

She notes that the Garage Support Program was designed to be easily accessible, as well as being both flexible and practical. “If you visit our website, you can find our Garage Support Program page for Service Professionals, or go directly to Garagesupportprogram.com and sign up,” states Lamb.

Resources and updates
Additionally, for automotive service professionals that are interested in learning more, Lamb explains that they can reach out to their local GSP distributor or representative for access to the training resources and product updates they need. Once they have access, they can then steadily build their technical knowledge, and stay current with the latest in both product information and practices available from GSP.

Contained within the Garage Support Program is a whole raft of product-focused training that covers core GSP products including CV sales, wheel hub assemblies as well as steering, suspension and ride control products such as Loaded Strut Assemblies.

Additionally, within the program, are installation best practices and tips to reduce comeback and improve installation efficiency in the shop environment. Furthermore, the Garage Support Program also offers technical insights to finding the root cause of specific problems and ensure safe and complete repairs on a customer’s vehicle. There’s also programs on Manufacturing Process so that technicians understand how the product is produced and the steps involved in delivering the finished product.

Additionally, GSP has dedicated support staff, tools and solutions to help ensure that technicians and service centre staff are able to effectively communicate the benefits of using GSP products and the value they provide.

Mr. G
Often, a key part of a successful support and training initiative revolves around clear, concise messaging and high levels of engagement. GSP’s Garage Support Program does this through Mr. G, who serves as Lead Technical Trainer and represents “the face” of the program. “Mr. G brings GSP’s expertise to life in a way that is both informative and engaging,” explains Autumn Lamb. “He is the GSP professional that relates to our service professionals in the auto care sector.”

Mr. G brings imagery and engagement to a whole host of GSP product and installation topics, while at the same time serving as an ambassador that emphasizes GSP’s commitment to quality driven performance at every level.

Real results
Since it was launched in 2023, the Garage Support Program has been able to provide automotive service professionals with real world benefits. These include reduced installation errors and fewer comebacks due to improved product knowledge, plus greater confidence in recommending GSP products to service centre customers. This also translates into added partner value as well as stronger alignment between service centres and distributors, leading to new and increased sales and business opportunities.

In 2026, the Garage Support Program is being further expanded with enhanced and upgraded digital training platforms; expanded course offerings across a range of under car component categories, more integration between shops and distributor partners to support local market growth, plus new engagement initiatives and campaigns to increase service centre participation.

Where the latter is concerned, GSP is running a summer promotion for any service centre or professional that signs up for the Garage Support Program from June through August 2026. “Each person who signs up during this period will get a free Garage Support Shirt,” explains Autumn Lamb. “Our focus is to continue building a program that’s not only educational, but represents a true growth platform for our partners.” She notes that the more people that sign up, the more effective and beneficial the Garage Support Program becomes.
