Supplier Plews & Edelmann has decided to make technicians’ lives a little easier by offering a complete kit for replacing power steering systems.
As explained by Anthony Holgun at the company’s booth during the AAPEX show, it is much simpler for a shop to recommend replacing all components of a power steering system rather than proceeding piece by piece.
“There are fewer comebacks,” he says. “If you replace only the steering rack without changing the lines, the customer may return dissatisfied if one of those parts fails after the partial replacement.” Replacing all components in a single operation, thanks to the supplier’s Bundles, helps avoid such issues.
What’s more, a complete steering replacement requires aligning several complementary parts, which involves careful research where the risk of error is not negligible. The comprehensive kit offered by Plews & Edelmann includes the rack, the pump, the lines, the filter, the cooler (if needed), and the fluids.
