The West Island Career Center invites technicians to kick-start their careers by enrolling in the electric vehicle mechanic program.

Holders of a professionnal diploma in automotive mechanics and experienced mechanics are eligible to enroll in this 645-hour program. A group is currently being formed, and the registration deadline is September 9.

Lasting approximately five months, this training program provides technicians with the skills and knowledge they need to work on the growing number of electric and hybrid vehicles coming into service bays at repair shops and dealerships.

The course covers the basic principles of how these vehicles work, including advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The training will also focus on practical exercises on different electric vehicles.
