At AAPEX 2024 in Las Vegas, ZF Aftermarket had a wide range of products on display. New to the TRW line of brake components are new brake hoses. These feature low volumetric efficiency expansion and are manufactured to TRW Original Equipment specifications. Exact concentric fitting holes are designed to ensure the free flow of brake fluid to improve pedal feel and response. More than 500-part numbers are expected for the TRW hose line, which will be widely available in the U.S. and Canada for both domestic and import vehicle applications.
Meagan Moody, Head of Customers & Strategy, North America, Aftermarket for ZF, also showed us the new ZF Electric Axle Drive repair kits. Predominately designed for Mercedes-Benz vehicles these kits come complete with all the parts, tools and fasteners required to perform a complete repair on the Electric Axle Drive system—a welcome benefit for garages that service and repair electric vehicles.
ZF Aftermarket also continues to expand its range of Continuous Damping Control (CDC) shock absorbers, which are designed to optimize ride and handling (and perform constant computerized damping adjustments via a centrally mounted electronic controller mounted on the vehicle). Moody noted that these are becoming more and more common on late-model vehicles, and offering direct replacements is essential, since CDCs cannot be replaced by traditional dampers.
ZF Aftermarket also had on display a range of quality remanufactured components that provide a cost-effective solution for both service providers and their customers.
