Ray Proulx, Chairman of AIA’s High Five for Kids Foundation has let us know that AIA Ontario Division presented a cheque in the amount of $10,000 to this fund to help children.

“We greatly appreciate the continuous support we receive from AIA Ontario; this type of donation will help us in continuing the support we give to many children’s charities in Canada,” stated Proulx.

The High Fives for Kids Foundation, established in 2005 as a charitable non-profit organization, assists AIA Canada members and divisions in their efforts to support Canadian charities that benefit children and youth by collecting and redistributing funds.

It is committed to creating brighter futures for Canadian children and youth by giving them the tools, opportunities, and support they need. The projects It funds provide training, equipment, experiences, and assistance so that young people can reach their full potential.

As stated on our website, thanks to AIA Canada’s local divisions, we reach communities directly and offer help where it is needed. Under the championship of the members, the Foundation runs a number of campaigns that provide funding to smaller charities that may otherwise be overlooked.

“As we say on our website, not only do we work towards building local communities, we also want to give back to the industry that supports our Foundation. Scholarships are awarded annually across Canada to qualified students and monetary assistance is provided to those who wish to further their education in the automotive aftermarket field,” Proulx pointed out.

The mission of the group is to inspire and engage the members of automotive aftermarket in Canada to bring positive change and improve the quality of life for children and youth in their local communities.
