The Japanese company Eneos markets a whole catalogue of automotive lubricants in North America through its American division.

The President of Eneos USA, Katsuhiro Nakazato, that Autosphere met at his booth at SEMA, explains that the expertise developed in collaboration with Japanese car manufacturers allows the company to offer our market lubricants that meet the needs of engines of all vehicle brands.

The company also offers high-tech specialty products, such as the 0W-8 X Prime synthetic lubricant, developed specifically for auxiliary engines for new generation hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles, which will be available to the North American market this spring. “The quality of lubricants, in both combustion engine and hybrid vehicles, is very important for protection, but also for optimizing fuel consumption,” says Nakazato.

As a sign of the times, Eneos USA is also developing and validating a range of lubricants and coolants specifically for 100% electric vehicles. The lubricants will be used, for example, in all the gears and transmissions of these vehicles, where every point of friction has an impact on range.
