AAPEX 2020: New Dodge PM/Jeep MK Ball Joints from Mevotech

Sturdy Supreme line product extends service life.

At the AAPEX 2020 virtual expo, Mevotech showcased its new MS25511 Ball Joints designed as a replacement for the OE items on Dodge PM (Caliber) and Jeep MK (Compass/Patriot) platforms.

The new MS25511 uses an advanced fastening method that securely holds the ball joint to the control arm and ensures optimized performance due to greaseable sintered metal bearings.

The Dodge PM and Jeep MK platforms feature a MacPherson Strut type front suspension setup with lower control arms. The OE control arms on these vehicles are made from relatively thin stamped steel and are not designed for ball joint replacement. If an attempt is made to remove the ball joint separately and replace it, the result is often damaging to the bore and control arm, preventing proper removal and replacement.

The new MS25511 are designed as direct, heavier duty replacements for the OE ball joints on these vehicles, enabling quality installation and extended service life.
