The lubricant company Shell recently announced the expansion of its Quaker State product line.

The new synthetic Quaker State lubricants, also covering high mileage vehicle oils, Quaker State Synthetic Blend, high mileage vehicle mineral oils and Quaker State mineral oils, have recently been reformulated to meet API SP and ILSAC GF-6 standards.

The affected products are Quaker State synthetic oils SAE-0W-20, SAE 5W-20, SAE 5W-30 and SAE 10W-30. Also, Quaker State synthetic high mileage car lubricants SAE 0W-20, SAE 5W-20, SAE 5W-30 and SAE 10W-30. Synthetic Blend lubricants of the same brand under the grades SAE 0W-20, SAE 5W-20 and SAE 5W-30 are also upgraded. Mineral lubricants, for general use and high mileage cars of the SAE 5W-20, SAE 5W-30 and SAE 10W-30 grades are also covered by this upgrade.

This evolution of Quaker State products meets the specifications of modern engines that must meet high demands for fuel economy and reduced emissions. The Quaker State lubricant update also responds to the increasing number of turbocharged and direct-injection engines.
