The 5th edition of the ALBI Open 2023 was a day marked by unforgettable moments, enriching encounters and dazzling generosity, making this sporting event a unique experience, presented at the Club de Golf le Mirage in Terrebonne, offering a natural setting for a sporting and convivial day.
No fewer than 297 golfers vied with each other in skill and tactics, and above all had a great time with colleagues from work or the industry. Despite forecasts predicting a rainy day with a 100% chance of precipitation, participants were pleasantly surprised by the warm, sunny weather that greeted them in the end.
ALBI le Géant is deeply committed to helping sick children and their families, and had organized a special hole on the golf course dedicated to Leucan, reinforcing the company’s commitment to this noble and inspiring cause.
Guests had the chance to take part in a friendly competition entitled “Beat the Pro for ALBI le Géant”. Donations collected during this activity reached the impressive sum of $7014, contributing to Leucan Laurentides-Lanaudière’s 2023 campaign to help these sick children and their families through difficult times.
“We support Leucan because I am the honorary president of Leucan Laurentides-Lanaudière. I shaved my own hair in May 2022, and we did another shaved-head challenge with colleagues in May 2023,” says Cathy Laroche, Vice President, Communications, Marketing and Media at ALBI le Géant.
The company is determined to maintain this tradition of solidarity, generosity and celebration of success, while continuing to support essential social causes in the community.
ALBI Mazda Mascouche: 45 years
After the 18th hole, the presentation of the commemorative plaque by Mazda Canada President David Klan, in honour of 45 years of ALBI Mazda Mascouche, added a touch of emotion to the event.
Beyond the spirit of competition and generosity, the main objective of the ALBI Open is to warmly thank all those who contribute to the success of ALBI le Géant. This sporting and charitable day brings together ALBI’s partners, customers and staff in a relaxed setting, while supporting an essential cause.
In the evening, over 350 guests from a wide range of professional sectors, including bankers, media partners, automotive journalists, construction, automotive manufacturers and parts and service suppliers, converged on the dinner, creating a lively and festive atmosphere, including a fiery performance by Matt Lang, who got the guests dancing and hearts racing.
The ALBI Open 2023 will be remembered as an exceptional event, combining sport, generosity and conviviality, while strengthening the ties between the various players who contribute to the growth and success of ALBI le Géant.
