According to the latest report from DesRosiers Automotive Consultants, light vehicle sales in Canada declined in February.

A total of 98,722 units were delivered during this month, compared to 112,654 vehicles delivered in February 2021. This is a 12.4% decline. It should be noted that February 2021 was a comparatively strong month for Canadian light vehicle sales.

Sales projections for the current year are 1.62 million units, compared to total Canadian deliveries of 1.85 million light vehicles.

The month of March will be indicative of the state of the market. In 2021, we recorded 175,186 sales, a very positive result that was then hampered by the shortage of semiconductors.
