Under the hood
The 2022 Sienna features Toyota’s proven Hybrid Synergy Drive.
This self-charging gasoline-electric powertrain delivers the best of both worlds: impressive power and segment-leading fuel efficiency.
Built around a 2.5L Atkinson cycle four-cylinder engine, Sienna’s hybrid heart puts 245 net system horsepower at one’s command.
Front-wheel-drive models achieve a city/highway combined fuel efficiency of 6.5L / 100km, while all-wheel-drive editions provide additional all-weather driving confidence and combined fuel efficiency of 6.7L / 100km.
Built on the Toyota New Global Architecture platform, Sienna combines a low centre of gravity, well-tuned suspensions, and a rigid body structure to forge a natural connection between the driver, the vehicle, and the road.
Steering and handling are responsive.
All models are fitted with a four-mode Drive Mode Select, allowing drivers to tailor the Sienna to their personality and the road/weather conditions.
Every model is ready to tow up to 1,585 kg (3,500 lbs.), so Canadians can haul a well-equipped compact trailer for weekend adventures.
Saftey features
As a Toyota, every Sienna is also well equipped with a long list of standard safety systems headlined by Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 – a bundle of active safety technologies that help extend the driver’s awareness and ability to avoid collisions or mitigate their effect.
TSS 2.0 includes Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist and Road Edge Detection, Automatic High Beams, Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian and Bicycle Detection, Lane Tracing Assist, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
Other standard safety features include the Toyota Star Safety System, the Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert systems, a rear passenger seatbelt reminder, a back-up camera, 10 airbags, and the Rear Seat Reminder system that reminds drivers to check in the back for passengers and cargo, before exiting the vehicle.

2022 Toyota Sienna LE
Is an eight-passenger model including power dual sliding side doors, three-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, a 9” display audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, 7 USB ports, 17” alloy wheels, and an electronic parking brake.
The AWD model adds the all-weather confidence of electronic on-demand all-wheel-drive.
New this year, these models are now equipped with roof rails for an extra touch of style and versatility.
2022 Toyota Sienna XLE
Is an eight-person model that builds on the LE trim level, adding Connected Services by Toyota Audio Plus, a power moon roof, kick sensor operation for both the power back door and both sliding side doors, SofTex seat cladding, and four-zone automatic climate control.
New this year, this model is now equipped with roof rails for an extra touch of style and versatility.
2022 Toyota Sienna Limited
is a seven-person model featuring an electronic on-demand all-wheel drive plus a generous package of premium features and amenities.
These include 18” alloy wheels, Connected Services by Toyota Premium Audio, embedded navigation, a 12-speaker JBL audio system, leather seating, a driver’s seat memory system, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a rear-seat entertainment system with wireless headphones, a wireless charging system, premium LED headlamps and tail lamps, LED fog lamps, digital display rearview mirror, wireless charging system for persona electronics, plus the bird’s eye view camera and intelligent clearance sonar system with pedestrian detection and rear cross-traffic brake.
New this year, this model now features 2nd row Ottoman seats for even greater comfort.
2022 Toyota Sienna XSE
Is a seven-person model that features a sport-tuned suspension, premium LED headlamps with black accents, LED tail lamps, power moon roof, roof rails, and kick-sensor operation of the back gate and dual sliding side doors.
Inside, drivers will enjoy the eight-speaker display audio system, Connected Services by Toyota Premium Audio with embedded navigation, and the heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Seats are clad in unique SofTex sport fabric, front seats are heated, and four-zone independent climate control keeps all occupants comfortable.
This model features long-slide second-row captain’s seats and the blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.
The FWD model is suited with 20” wheels while the AWD edition adds Toyota’s electronic on-demand all-wheel-drive system to this sporty model and replaces the 20” wheels with 18” rims.
2022 Toyota Sienna XSE Technology FWD
Enhances the corresponding XSE trim level with a 12-speaker JBL audio system and a rear-seat entertainment system with wireless headphones.
This model also features a wide-angle backup camera, digital display rearview mirror, LED fog lamps, a wireless charging system for personal electronics, and an intelligent clearance sonar system with a rear cross-traffic brake.
