“Our customer is a Defender aficionado so it was nice that the first 2020 Defender in Canada was delivered to an enthusiast who is part of the Land Rover Family,” added Gwynne-Timothy.
The first new Defender retailed in Canada was the Defender 110 SE model with 395 HP and 406 lb-ft of torque.
The all-wheel-drive Defender featured the Indus Silver exterior colour. “Our customer fell in love with the Defender the first time he saw it at the reveal. He put a deposit down as soon as it was unveiled at the Frankfurt auto show,” said Gwynne-Timothy.
Most anticipated launch
“This is a moment we have all been anticipating for a long time,” said Wolfgang R. Hoffmann, President, Jaguar Land Rover Canada. “This is probably the most anticipated vehicle launch in our history, a true automotive icon returning to Canada.
The new Defender is a marvel of durability and technology and we all look forward to seeing plenty of them on the road in the coming months.”
The all-new Land Rover Defender is now available in Jaguar Land Rover retailers across Canada. Starting at $65,300, the 2020 Defender has a go-anywhere, do-anything attitude and durability at its very core.
