Coatings supplier AkzoNobel will showcase its refinish management technologies and automotive paint systems at the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The display focuses on operational efficiency, featuring live demonstrations of the patented Carbeat digital workflow tracking platform alongside its Acoat Selected shop development programme.
For Canadian collision centre operators, paint department managers, and multi-shop organizations, controlling touch time and eliminating production stalls between prep bays and paint booths directly determines daily profitability. According to the company, pairing Carbeat’s interactive visual tracking with the Sikkens Autowave Optima basecoat system and AutoClear 2.0 clearcoat reduces processing delays and accelerates vehicle turnaround times through energy-efficient curing.
Additionally, AkzoNobel is introducing an expanded refinish line engineered to solve OEM colour-matching challenges on classic and restoration projects. The product launch enables custom shops and restoration facilities to achieve historical colour accuracy using modern chemical formulations that comply with current Canadian VOC emission guidelines while reducing spray booth cycle times.
