Wesco Group, a major specialty distributor of paint, equipment, and refinish supplies to the collision repair market, has appointed Josh Cox as its new Chief Executive Officer.

The specialty collision refinish and industrial supply distributor appoints its sitting president to lead its expanding North American network of over 400 branches.

Wesco Group, a major specialty distributor of paint, equipment, and refinish supplies to the collision repair market, has appointed Josh Cox as its new Chief Executive Officer. Cox succeeds company co-founder Lloyd White, who is retiring from the CEO role but will remain on the board of directors.

The planned succession comes as Wesco continues to consolidate its market position following the acquisition of National Coatings & Supplies, which expanded the distributor’s footprint to more than 400 locations across North America. Cox brings extensive aftermarket experience to the role, having spent eight years with Wesco, most recently serving as company President.

For collision centers and supplier partners, Wesco confirmed that day-to-day operations, field contacts, and ongoing commercial commitments will remain completely unchanged through the leadership transition.
