CARSTAR TORCAM Group, founded in 2019 by Javier Torres and Liliana Camacho and currently led by Sebastian Torres, is pleased to announce the promotion of Nicola Munarolo to Vice President.

Previously serving as Managing Partner within the organization, Munarolo’s new role will further strengthen operational leadership and provide insurance partners with an additional executive point of contact to support strategic decision-making and continued growth across the group.

The creation of the Vice President role reflects TORCAM Group’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence, staff support, and scalable leadership as the organization continues to expand.

Staff support is very important
“Staff support is very important for us in the group,” said Sebastian Torres, owner, CARSTAR TORCAM Group. “We believe that if we provide our staff with the correct support, tools, and training, the right attitude and motivation for performance will follow. With the growing needs of the group, we felt it was time to create a role with 100 percent focus on operational support for all of our managers.”

Munarolo began his journey with TORCAM Group in 2019 as a part-time Marketing Coordinator, leveraging his background in marketing to support the company’s community engagement and brand growth initiatives. During this time, he helped the organization achieve significant milestones, including leading top fundraising efforts for cystic fibrosis, developing strategic partnerships, coordinating billboard campaigns, and contributing to the company’s recognition as Marketer of the Year at the CARSTAR Conference.

From there, Munarolo expanded his experience across multiple areas of the business, moving into estimating before advancing into office and operations management roles. Most recently, he served as Managing Partner at one of TORCAM’s Brantford locations.

Has played a key role
Throughout his career with TORCAM Group, Munarolo has also played a key role in operational innovation. He was instrumental in restructuring the company’s intake process using AI technology and transitioning the organization to a virtual platform, eliminating paper-based systems and enabling real-time visibility into groupwide KPIs.

Focus on supporting operations managers
As Vice President, Munarolo will focus on supporting operations managers across the TORCAM Group through bi-weekly shop audits, weekly performance reviews, and additional operational training. He will oversee key performance indicators related to performance and profitability, including touch time, length of rental (LOR), customer service metrics, gross profit, and staff management support.

“With Nicola focusing full time on operations, we will be able to put KPIs directly in front of our managers on a weekly basis,” Torres added. “This allows us to make informed plans and adjust direction quickly when needed, ensuring we remain best in class compared to our competitors.”
