In 2023 Hunter Engineering Company introduced its Ultimate ADAS. This state-of-the-art system enables technicians to perform wheel alignments and static calibrations in the same service bay, with the same equipment. While Ultimate ADAS is revolutionizing the alignment process, there are still many tire, collision and even mechanical centres that are either struggling to wrap their hands around ADAS requirements for today’s vehicles, or may not have the funds to jump into a system like Ultimate ADAS. As a result, Hunter has introduced its Hawkeye X, a lower cost, more entry-level system that incorporates many of the features of Ultimate ADAS and enables them to perform accurate calibrations, with the option to upgrade to the full Ultimate ADAS system with relative ease.

Another innovation on the Hunter stand at the SEMA Show, was an interactive What is ADAS? Display. Utilizing touch screens and complementary tools, it’s designed to educate both shop staff and their customers about ADAS functions, what they do and how they operate on different vehicles. “The idea with this, is to provide a visual and tactile representation of what we’re talking about when it comes to ADAS,” explained Tommy Maitz, Director, Marketing at Hunter Engineering Company. The tool enables users to scroll through any number of OEMs, and gain insight into what ADAS features are installed on each vehicle in their product lineup and also what they’re labelled as, since frequently, OEMs call the same system by a different name, which can make things confusing for both shop staff and their customers.

Maitz and Brad Maschoff, Manager, Digital Marketing, demonstrated how a vehicle that’s even slightly out of alignment can have a big impact on ADAS functionality and at the SEMA show, What is ADAS? Proved to be a huge hit. These counter tools will be provided to Hunter’s business consultants to educate their shop customers, who in turn will also be able to acquire them to show their end client, the motorist, how ADAS works on their vehicle, as well as stressing the importance of maintenance and correct alignment to ensure everything operates as it should while on the road.

Hunter also showcased its TCX51 Table-Top Professional Tire Changer.  The heaviest model in its class, the TCX51 is designed to offer ease of use, high efficiency and a long service life, enabling fast, efficient tire removal and installation in minutes.
