No fewer than six new products awaited visitors at the ProSpot equipment manufacturer’s booth.

Our guide, Roger Charron from AB Warehouses distribution, wearing the body shop equipment supplier’s colours for the occasion, highlighted two favourite products at our request.

The first is undoubtedly the i5S spot welder. “This equipment has several advantages,” notes Charron. “First, the transformer is integrated into the unit.”

The new Pro Spot i5s intelligent spot welding system features automatic adaptive welding technology. The i5s advanced welding control system detects, responds and adjusts welding energy in real-time based on material composition, thickness and resistance properties.

Another advantage of this equipment, according to Charron, is the robotic arm that supports the welder. The expert explains how this support assists the technician in their work and significantly reduces fatigue.

The system’s intelligence also includes access to training directly on the console. Additionally, the device constantly updates wirelessly, particularly regarding repair procedures that are continuously modified by manufacturers.

The other device, of a completely different scale, that Charron is keen to present is the cordless dent pulling gun, ideal for small jobs. Recently available, this device allows pulling on the metal surface to be repaired, similar to using a key system, but in a single quick motion.
