At SEMA 2026, Flex unveiled the 24V 3-in-1 Mini Polisher (FX3361), a compact cordless detailing tool combining rotary, random orbital, and gear-driven modes.
Combining rotary, random-orbit, and gear-driven actions into a single cordless chassis allows Canadian detailing operations to accelerate multi-stage paint correction work.
Power tool manufacturer Flex has introduced the FLEX 24V 3-in-1 Mini Polisher (FX3361), a cordless detailing system integrating rotary, random orbital, and positive gear-driven operational modes into a single compact housing. Engineered with a tool-free quick-change mechanism, the unit accommodates 1-inch, 2-inch, and 3-inch backing plates to polish intricate body recesses, mirror caps, and narrow vehicle pillars.
For Canadian detailing shop owners, collision centre refinish technicians, and dealership reconditioning managers, toggling between distinct polishing machines inflates bay cycle times and equipment capital outlay. The tool incorporates glove-compatible touch-sensor speed controls, a digital tachometer display, and an integrated inspection worklight with three selectable colour temperatures to highlight surface swirls and holographic sanding marks directly on the production line.
According to Kevin Gee, Vice President of Pro Product Development at Flex, consolidating three polishing actions streamlines technician workflow while tackling complex automotive contours. Powered by a 24-volt lithium-ion architecture and packaged with two 2.5Ah batteries and a 160W fast charger for an MSRP of $599.99 USD, the tool enables commercial reconditioning facilities to increase hourly billable output without sacrificing finish consistency on premium clear coats.
