Nokian Tyres’ return to profitability and upgraded 2026 margin guidance signal supply chain stability and premium inventory continuity for Canadian tyre dealers.
Finnish tyre manufacturer Nokian Tyres has reported strong financial improvements for the first nine months of 2026, with earnings per share turning positive at 0.15 euros for the first time since 2021. Net sales through September reached 1,018.7 million euros, representing a 6.4% year-over-year increase driven by market-beating sales volumes across North America and Europe.
For Canadian tyre dealers, automotive jobbers, and commercial repair facility operators, the manufacturer’s operational turnaround secures steady product flow across critical winter fitment categories. The passenger car tyre business unit drove quarterly gains, lifting its third-quarter segment operating profit margin to 20.5% following the market rollout of the Hakkapeliitta 01 winter line and expanded large-rim SKU availability.
According to company executives, lower production and raw material expenses prompted an upward revision to full-year 2026 guidance, targeting the upper end of the 9% to 10% operating margin bracket. With multi-year factory construction investments concluded, lowered capital expenditures support predictable wholesale parts allocation across seasonal passenger and heavy commercial tire lines.
