Tire manufacturer Bridgestone has established a dedicated in-country executive position for Canada, appointing Jacques Fourie as President, Canada. Operating out of the company’s Mississauga, Ontario office, Fourie assumes end-to-end oversight of Canadian commercial operations, national strategy, and market expansion.
For commercial fleet operators, tire dealers, and automotive service networks, establishing localized executive leadership is designed to shorten decision-making cycles and optimize supply chain alignment. Direct national management is expected to improve product allocation across commercial, passenger, and specialized tire segments while ensuring closer coordination with regional market requirements.
Fourie brings extensive industrial leadership experience to the post, having previously managed Bridgestone’s Africa and Middle East business units following a 15-year tenure in executive roles at industrial manufacturer Cummins in North America. The executive appointment underscores Bridgestone’s intent to capture additional market share across Canadian commercial and retail channels.
