Ram has officially finalized the product portfolio for the 2027 Ram 1500 light-duty pickup lineup, introducing key mechanical configurations specifically engineered for the Canadian automotive landscape. The headlining product news centers on the vehicle manufacturer’s new “muscle truck” sub-brand: the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee.
Anchoring the street-performance segment, the top-tier Rumble Bee SRT variant deploys a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 generating 777 horsepower and 680 lb.-ft. of torque, securing a 0-96 km/h acceleration footprint of 3.4 seconds and a targeted track top speed of 274 km/h.
Critically for Canadian fleet buyers, commercial operators, and dealer networks, the 2027 Ram 1500 will come standard with 4×4 architecture across all trim lines nationwide. The domestic powertrain matrix scales to include eight distinct propulsion setups, retaining the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 eTorque mild-hybrid, standard and mild-hybrid iterations of the 5.7-liter V8 HEMI, the heavy-duty 6.4-liter V8, and the high-efficiency 3.0-liter Hurricane Twin-Turbo inline-six engines.
Industrial Capacities and Commercial Worksite Enhancements
For logistics administrators and commercial fleet operators, the updated engineering specs outline diversified hauling thresholds:

3.0L Hurricane SO Twin-Turbo: Establishes the lineup’s peak trailering capacity at 5,230 kg (11,530 lbs.) max towing with an 853 kg payload capacity.

5.7L HEMI V8 eTorque: Delivers a maximum towing limit of 5,157 kg (11,370 lbs.) paired with a 762 kg max payload.

Worksite Power Export: Models utilizing the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 configuration can now be outfitted with an available 2kW onboard inverter system, accessible via dual 120V electrical outlets integrated directly into the truck bed walls.
Addressing vocational loading requirements, Ram has also integrated a RamBox cargo management system deletion option on premium Limited and Limited Longhorn models, enabling fleet managers to spec vehicles with maximum internal bed width for unrestricted bulk material transport.
Cockpit Electronics and Level 2+ Autonomous Driving Integration
The 2027 cabin architecture integrates significant digital overhead, offering over 127 centimeters (50 inches) of combined display coverage, highlighted by an available class-largest 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment screen and a segment-first 10.25-inch front passenger monitor. Onboard safety configurations expand with a 360-degree surround-view camera system now fitted as standard equipment on Limited, Limited Longhorn, and RHO trims. Furthermore, Ram becomes the sole manufacturer to deploy Hands-free Active Drive Assist (Level 2+ automated driving capability) on high-performance gas off-road pickup chassis, standardizing the tech on the RHO and the updated TRX SRT model.
The multi-tier commercial truck family will see regional dealer allocations commence ahead of the model year changeover, supported by an entry-level off-road Warlock model starting at an MSRP of $69,085.
