Lear Corp. Named 2026 Ford Supplier of the Year for Sustainability

The corporate award acknowledges Lear’s manufacturing performance, engineering collaboration, and integration of sustainable processes across its global production channels throughout the past fiscal year.
Tier-one automotive technology supplier Lear Corporation was named the 2026 Ford Supplier of the Year in the Sustainability category during Ford Motor Company’s annual Supplier Awards & Summit in Detroit.
The corporate award acknowledges Lear’s manufacturing performance, engineering collaboration, and integration of sustainable processes across its global production channels throughout the past fiscal year.
As a primary manufacturing partner for Ford’s North American assembly lines, Lear’s dual core divisions—automotive seating architectures and advanced electrical distribution systems (E-Systems)—are critical components within the automaker’s high-volume vehicle platforms. The sustainability designation highlights Lear’s structural shift toward lightweight seating designs, eco-conscious materials sourcing, and high-efficiency power management systems.
“Being named a 2026 Ford Supplier of the Year is a tremendous honor and a reflection of the strong partnership between Lear and Ford,” stated Lear President and CEO Ray Scott. Emphasizing the strategic synchronization required between legacy OEMs and component suppliers, Liz Door, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Ford Motor Company, noted: “We are so proud of the momentum underway at Ford and with our suppliers to find new ways to collaborate and unlock efficiencies. We are committed to building stronger and closer relationships so we can compete to win together.”
This tier-one validation reinforces the environmental compliance and built-in manufacturing quality embedded within the modern vehicle supply chain.
