The infrastructure project scales the facility’s total operational footprint to 176,000 square feet, marking the company’s third strategic expansion in the Manitoba sector since establishing its local baseline footprint in 2015.
Groupe Touchette, Canada’s largest privately owned tire distributor, has finalized a major warehouse expansion program at its regional hub located at 20 Harvest Drive within the CentrePort inland port terminal in Winnipeg.
The infrastructure project scales the facility’s total operational footprint to 176,000 square feet, marking the company’s third strategic expansion in the Manitoba sector since establishing its local baseline footprint in 2015.
Positioned within a primary North American inland logistics trade gateway, the high-volume hub expands Groupe Touchette’s wholesale fulfillment capacities across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and surrounding Western corridors. The capital investment is engineered to optimize bulk inventory density and product availability across multiple sectors, including passenger light-truck (PLT), commercial medium-duty fleets, and heavy vocational agricultural transport.
“Winnipeg plays a key role in our Western Canadian operations,” stated Paul Hyshka, Vice President, Independent Sales at Groupe Touchette. “Our continued investment in this facility reflects the strong relationships we have built with customers, partners and the local business community over the past decade.”
For commercial fleet procurement managers, independent tire dealers, and franchise dealer groups, this supply chain expansion translates into enhanced safety stock margins, broader product line availability, and improved regional logistics turnaround times.
