Tire Industry Project seeks technical expert to evaluate sustainability research proposals
Autosphere » Tires »

The Tire Industry Project (TIP), a global initiative uniting the world’s leading tire manufacturers under the umbrella of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), is seeking a technical expert to join its evaluation committee.
This short-term remote position (January–April 2026) offers a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainability in the tire industry by reviewing research proposals focused on tire wear emissions — the particles released during tire use that can affect the environment and human health.
Formed in 2005, TIP’s mission is to anticipate, understand, and address environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues relevant to the tire industry and its value chain. The committee will assess submissions received through TIP’s Open Call for Projects (OCP), which supports innovative scientific research to advance environmental stewardship and responsible business practices.
The selected expert will review up to ten applications (each up to 50 pages) and provide detailed technical assessments. A fixed rate per application will be offered.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a PhD in ecotoxicology, biology, environmental science, chemistry, or a related field, and demonstrate solid expertise in eco-toxicity — particularly pollution from road traffic sources. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills are essential, along with fluency in English and the ability to work collaboratively in a team of international specialists.
Application deadline: November 20, 2025
Interested candidates should submit their CV, cover letter, and credentials to [email protected]
