Cooper Tires, a subsidiary of Goodyear, has introduced its all-new Discoverer HT highway mixed-terrain tyre engineered for light trucks and commercial utility fleets. The North American-manufactured line launches with 15 initial fitments, expanding to 19 sizes by December 2026, with an additional 16 LT-metric applications scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2027 to cover wheel diameters from 16 to 22 inches.
For Canadian commercial fleet managers, tyre distributors, and mechanical repair facilities, controlling cost-per-kilometre while supporting heavy cargo demands remains essential to fleet uptime. The product includes a 115,000-km (70,000-mile) limited treadwear warranty on metric sizes and a 90,000-km (55,000-mile) coverage on LT-metric configurations. Built with tall, reinforced sidewalls and an optimized contact patch, the design stabilizes payload shifts and trailer sway on high-speed transport corridors.
According to the manufacturer, the tread pattern incorporates proprietary 3D Micro-Gauge siping technology designed to retain biting edges throughout the tyre’s operating lifespan while dampening cabin road noise on degraded pavement. Produced across manufacturing facilities in Arkansas, Ohio, and Mississippi, the product lineup offers Canadian automotive jobbers reliable regional inventory replenishment across high-turnover light commercial vehicle sizes.
