Hankook Tire & Technology has secured six awards in the Design Concept category at the 2026 Red Dot Design Competition, earning two Best of the Best titles and four Winner designations for its prototype mobility projects.
For tire retail networks, automotive OEMs, and fleet technology analysts, the awards showcase Hankook’s ongoing R&D pipeline in airless tire architecture, sound dampening, and sustainable material integration.
The Best of the Best distinction was awarded to the i-Flex Gen 2, a second-generation non-pneumatic (airless) concept tire engineered for autonomous electric vehicles with a circumferential spoke design that improves driving stability and lowers road noise. The second top award was granted to Medi Buddy, an AI-driven autonomous medical mobility concept.
The four Winner awards recognized Concept S, an eco-focused tire prototype targeting 100 percent sustainable raw materials by 2050, the Bladder Upcycling Series, the 360-degree omnidirectional WheelBot2 spherical tire, and the Bloom smart urban canopy design.
The winning entries will be showcased at the Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore.
