Modeled after flagship experience centers such as Nike House of Innovation, the space reimagines the traditional tire shop.
Timed alongside the Woodward Dream Cruise, Goodyear officially opened its first retail concept store, the Goodyear Motor City Garage, located in Detroit, Michigan.
Modeled after flagship experience centers such as Nike House of Innovation, the space reimagines the traditional tire shop. The facility combines a full-service Goodyear Auto Service location—offering alignment, brakes, oil changes, and tire installation—with a brand destination highlighting high-performance tire technology and automotive heritage.
Simultaneously, Goodyear is highlighting its Mobile Garage platform, delivering driveway tire installation and maintenance directly to consumers.
“Detroit’s car culture makes it the perfect place to showcase our new retail concept alongside our Mobile Garage service that can install tires right in your driveway,” said Goodyear CEO Mark Stewart.
Strategic Brand Evolution:
-
Product Rollout: Approximately 1,500 new product introductions planned across the Goodyear and Cooper brand portfolios.
-
Market Focus: Heavy expansion into larger rim sizes and ultra-high-performance (UHP) replacement fitments.
-
Heritage Display: Features a laser-engraved Detroit-themed Eagle race tire alongside historic GM and Ford heritage vehicles, supported by a dual Goodyear Blimp flyover.
For Canadian tire dealers, automotive retail chains, and aftermarket executives across Ontario and Quebec, the concept demonstrates Goodyear’s broader North American strategy to elevate consumer engagement and expand mobile service capabilities.
