Marking a major technical milestone in the ultra-high-performance (UHP) segment, Hankook Tire Canada has announced that the Porsche 911 Carrera will roll off factory assembly lines fitted with Hankook’s premium Ventus S1 evo Z tires as original equipment for the first time. The specialized fitment bears Porsche’s official ‘NA2’ sidewall marking, signifying dedicated chassis and powertrain tuning.

The factory specification pairs size 235/40 ZR19 tires at the front with 295/35 ZR20 at the rear. To balance dry handling requirements with wet-weather traction under the 911’s rear-engine layout, Hankook engineers developed axle-specific tread pattern geometries and a specialized compound formula incorporating high-reactivity silica, custom resins, and optimized filler distribution.

“Our goal was to deliver precise steering precision, stability at high speeds, and reliable grip under all conditions,” said Aleix Alcaraz, Subjective Test Driver at Hankook Tire. “Striking a balance between track performance and everyday usability made this project particularly demanding. Pushing the 911 Carrera to its limits on test tracks like Nardò and applying the lessons learned to the road was both challenging and a special experience.”

To meet Porsche AG’s performance criteria, Hankook executed testing programs across multiple international proving grounds, including high-speed track evaluations at Nardò in Italy, lane-change assessments at Papenburg in Germany, and wet-handling optimization at IDIADA in Spain.
