OTDA Hosts 27th Annual Golf Classic

With a 1.00 pm shotgun start, the tournament was blessed with nearly ideal golfing weather, and a good time was had by all.
Event surpassed expectations with $25000 raised for charity.
On June 24, the Ontario Tire Dealers Association (OTDA) hosted its 27th Annual Golf Classic. This year, Ariss Valley Golf and Country Club near Guelph, Ontario., was the host venue and the tournament was sold out, with 152 registered golfers. According to OTDA Executive Director Adam Moffatt, the tournament sold out in just three weeks!
With a 1.00 pm shotgun start, the tournament was blessed with nearly ideal golfing weather, and a good time was had by all. Additionally, OTDA also sold out its sponsorships for the tournament this year, which included each hole, as well as well as lunch, dinner, cart and giveaway gift packages.
This year, OTDA partnered with SickKids Foundation to raise money to help ill children. Jessica, Zhang, Associate with the Development Community Partnership arm of the SickKids foundation was on hand to receive a cheque for $25,000.
In summarizing, Moffat said that “we want to thank all of our sponsors, golfers and volunteers who donated this year. The support was absolutely overwhelming and I can’t recall a golf classic in recent history where we’ve had so much support!”
